Hey, cool! Thanks a ton!Hey Rogar,
There are many Guitar Rig user presets you can use. E.g. here https://www.native-instruments.com/en/c ... uitar-rig/

I will find out soon if those custom user presets work with my Guitar Rig 5 Elements. (That's basically a truncated version of Guitar Rig 5 that came with Komplete 5, but it has a lot more presets than the other free versions like GR7 Player.)
I am sure those of you more experienced can use it well, but I personally did not have a very good initial experience with GR7 for some reason (the clean/acoustic presets sounded nice, but the leads seemed to mangle the signal of Real Strat and Real LPC vs what I was looking for-- though I'm sure those of you who have invested more time in it can make it sound much better than I was able to).
But I am favorably impressed with running Real LPC through GR5 Elements so far. (I don't know whether I'll prefer GR5 vs Guitarix in the long-run, but they both sound pretty good, IMO. I look forward to "levelling up" these skills.")
I've mostly only found good acoustical or clean presets in GR5 so far though, vs those 80s leads that OTS Evo Infinity is mind-bendingly awesome for straight out of the box, even without a 3rd party amp sim...
By the way: I also thought IK Amplitude did have potential and shouldn't be overlooked if anyone else is on the hunt for a good amp sim, but I personally decided not to use it after testing presets, since I have GR5 Elements already + I like Guitarix too, and I wasn't able to quickly make Amplitude sound better than either of them running Real LPC through it, even if I haven't been able to make either sound as quite as good as OTS Evo Infinity yet.

You've already been more than generous in sharing your knowledge and wisdom about this stuff here, but I would certainly be interested if you ever felt like also sharing some of your knowledge about how you twiddle around the knobs and adjust the settings in Guitar Rig to get your favorite sounds. (Even though I'm sticking with GR5 Elements, my impression was that a lot of features and even many presets are similar/same to GR7.)I haven't tried these presets myself yet. I usually try to create my own sound and not simulate one. This works very well in Guitar Rig.
EZMix 2 or 3 is a new one on me, thanks for the tip!I would say just grab a preset that fits, whether from Guitarix, Guitar Rig, Amplitube or whatever. Even if the 1 knob Ezmix 2 fits, why not![]()
If you don't want to adjust a lot yourself, then something like ezmix could be really good. I'm already thinking about getting the announced version 3, as you can adjust it a bit and you're done. The version 2 is too limited for me. Version 3 could be the right mix to get fast results. But the stuff is expensive. You would have to test whether the effect chains suit your own taste. In any case, nobody can hear whether you spent 100 hours adjusting the effects except yourself. If it sounds good, then you're done![]()
