There's another threat about dpi scalling problems but I didn't want to pollute it so I made this one. There are problems with scalling in Mixcraft especially when using multimonitor setup. It doesn't mean that it's Mixcraft issue per se because it can be windows11 or plugins related.
I've got some problems with a few plugins in Mixcraft. The ones I found gulty so far are Wavefactory Trackspacer, Kazrog True252, MasteringTheMix Fuser, Toneboosters EQ4, Acon Equalize 2, there are probably more. All above plugins are quite modern and freely resizable. They load just fine for the first time, but when reloading projects with them they often become unresponsive (their GUI becomes unresponsive, they process sound just fine). Mixcraft is up to date.
I've got a two monitor setup. First monitor is my 4k laptop screen, second one is FullHD. I made some tests and here are my findings - maybe it will help someone or maybe Mixcraft team can have o look.
4k 200%, FH 100%, Windows app properities DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - plugins don't work on reload
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: application, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: System (Enhanced), enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: off, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: application, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: system, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 200%, FH 100%, DPI: System (Enhanced), disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 250% (windows suggested), FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 250% (windows suggested), FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: aplikacja, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - seems to work
4k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: System (Enhanced), enabled DPI in mixcraft - seems to work
4k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, disabled DPI in mixcraft - seems to work
4k 175%, FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
4k 175%, FH 100%, DPI: off, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
When I change resolution of main laptop screen:
2k 2048x1152
2k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, disabled DPI in mixcraft - works
2k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - works
2k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, disabled DPI in mixcraft - works
2,5k 2560x1440
2,5k 125%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 125%, FH 100%, DPI: system, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 125%, FH 100%, DPI: application, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 125%, FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
2,5k 100%, FH 100%, DPI: System (Enhanced), enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
Both monitors at FullHD:
FH 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, disabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
FH 100%, FH 100%, DPI: off, enabled DPI in mixcraft - not working
FH 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, enabled DPI in mixcraft - works
FH 100%, FH 100%, DPI: system, disabled DPI in mixcraft - works
So for now I set both to FullHD or 2k/FullHD with Windows DPI for Mixcraft set to "system" in prefernces. The only 4k configuration I've got to work is at 100% scaling which is unfortunatelly not usable on my laptop. In general it all seems very random unfortunatelly...
Hope that helps someone who will face similar issues.
