Hi,
here are some things that I miss extremely in the MIDI editor and that makes working with notes difficult every day:
1. Change the velocity dynamics to bring the velocity closer together in a selection. So that you somehow don't always have to laboriously process velocity outliers manually. (as available in EZD 3 for example or other daws)
2. A negative playback MIDI time offset in milliseconds. For complex instruments that play a bit late, so that you can still use quantization and don't have to shift all notes by a few milliseconds every time again and again.
3. A reduced view in the piano roll on the used notes, so that you can see everything on the view with keyswitches for example. Typically a bass note is C2 and a coresponding keyswitch is C6. (as available in step sequencer view)
4. Fine adjustment in the step sequencer view. Just like in the piano roll. If that would work, then you can drop point 3
These tiny things are missing every day again and again
Without these options, you can't really work efficiently in the MIDI editor
