This is a follow-up to a previous request that I made for help on getting Midi working using Mixcraft and my Keyboard Krome Workstation (88-key version).
The question is below, but first just a little backstory:
I have had partial success.
Using Mixcraft 6, I can hear the Mixcraft Midi voices and I can set them. However, I have to switch from ASIO to "Core Audio" in preferences -- otherwise I do not hear the Midi voices. This is not a huge problem because I run the Midi through PreSonus and that seems to have cut out any noticeable latency, even when "Core Audio" is selected.
However, I still have one issue remaining.
Although I can hear the Mixcraft Midi sounds when I play my Korg Krome Keyboard Workstation, I also hear the default acoustic piano in the background on all sounds, this despite the fact that the keyboard volume is turned down to zero.
If anyone has a clue how to solve this problem, I would appreciate it. I have checked all relevant preferences and everything seems to be set up right based on feedback from my previous post.
Perhaps someone could help me. Or maybe my keyboard is just plain too old to work correctly with Mixcraft? I purchased it in 2014.
Again, any clues on how to get rid of the background piano voice would be appreciated.
