Hi all, I have MX installed in my studio, in the standard "customers come to me" usage and we work here, and MX is installed on a laptop for mobile applications.
For those using two computers, what have you found to be the best way to maintain a file / folder flow? Secondly - keeping all of the "updates" synced on your VST's?
I am a backup hound, so have simply gone the USB key routes to take songs (folders) I need with me, then copy back to my main PC / (then backup again) to keep everything updated.It seems like I am working harder that I should on moving files (folders actually) around and copying stuff but cannot think of a better way.
I have the laptop for mobile recording of tracks, some duo live recording type things and also some of my older folks appreciate me coming to them for a track, if they are not as savvy to record parts or do not have a DAW to record and send me tracks via the internet. I do have a few physically handicapped folks that I work with as well.
FWIW - not a fan of "the cloud" or anything off premises. Maybe should rethink that?
