I have a Presonus Studio 24C that I bought about 2 years ago and until today the last time I used it was over a year ago but it worked fine with Mixcraft and no issues. I am using the same Windows 11 laptop. I connected it today and it wont work. It's recognized when I put the cable in and i pick Asio and there are quite a few Asio Drivers for Presonus because you load up a package but not matter which one I pick I get the same message that it can not open the playback device. I know before when I pick Asio I had no playback because all I had was window speakers but it would still record. Now it just reverts to a different Asio driver and the only choice i have is microphone array and laptop speakers. In the past if I wanted to use the Presonus and have playback through my laptop speakers I could just choose either Wave or Wave RT and I could still use the Presonus as my recording input but I can't do that anymore either.
I'm pretty sure that the issue is not Mixcraft as I also have a handheld Zoom recorder that can be used as a interface and I am able to choose that in preferences as Asio, wave or wavert. If I choose asio it lets me use it for the recording option but there is no playback but if choose wave or wavert then my playback is with the speakers.
I did put in a support ticket with Presonus but I thought I would kick it around here just in case.
