I have the same problem sometimes. But that's not because of Mixcraft. Edge and Chrome both use the same Chromium engine. Google Chrome sometimes simply overloads the computer for no apparent reason. In the past, I measured this more closely in terms of power consumption and found that Chrome's Java Script engine causes extremely high loads without doing anything. After restarting the script engine, Chrome suddenly ran normally again. Restarting the browser or the system is not enough.
In comparison, Firefox runs without any problems. In comparison:
Chrome idle when the problem occurs consumes 20 watts of power and I think 10% CPU permanently and you cannot change it.
Firefox when idle always only requires 1 watt of power and 0% CPU.
Maybe it has something to do with that. If you're sitting on the couch and you hear your fan again, it's often because Google Chrome is still open
